Just had lunch here. Service was fast and so was food.Burger, fish and chips and sandwich. All delicious.
On August 31, 2018 shortly after 2:30 my husband and I decided to drop by for lunch. Although this was not my first or second choice as we have eaten here once before and not really impressed. My first choice was the 1979 pub, but they are only open during lunch and supper but darn their food is GREAT!!!. The second was the Honey Pot, a bit pricey but great food as well. While at the Park we noticed when we come in that their special was the steak sand and clam chowder soup. After we sat down and my husband had his beer and my ice tea, the waitress went to the special board and wiped off the special now I have to pay full price for my meal. We questioned her about it and she said it's only on till 2:00. Well we should have went with our thoughts and got up and left.First of all you could have the steak but fries, salad OR soup. Are you serious! You should be able to have your choice of potatoe, soup OR salad. What a rip off. Next of all when you can count how many fries are on your plate that is being as cheap as possible. I'm not having a 5 course meal by any means. Now the steak, it was cooked just as I had ordered by holy moly could you find anything smaller? I was not near full after I ate it. Just so you know the 1979 pub has the a big larger steak for the same price and you can't count your fries!!!!!- Now my husband's meal was nothing to write home about either. He chose a Chinese dish with beef noodles and vegs.The sauce was ok as well the vegs. But the beef was horrible. And he did mention this to the waitress. And there was not enough to fill he up either. When I pay $40.00 + I want to be full when I leave. This is our second time there and it will also be our last time there. You may have a master chief there but your not a high class restaurant that is serving a 5 course meal in a classy restaurant.Very mad and upset to spend that kind if money on such a small amount of food given.NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!
If it wasn't for the guy pan handling outside and offering quickies for cash I would recommend playing pool and eating here.

I generally love this restaurant but today was much less than satisfactory. I wanted the southwestern salad but they were out of ingredients for it so waitress recommended the Park & Trestle Salad, I agreed to try. It was nice and light with leafy greens and grapes sprinkled with a goat cheese crumb BUT I had ordered a hearty salad as a meal and this was NOT hardy. Oh well I thought, since I was still hungry I thought I can finally try the ginger cake that looks so delicious in the picture on the table that I never have room for. Wow! Super sweet! So sweet if I didnt know what I had ordered I wouldnt have been able to tell you the flavour or the kind of cake it was. Just soooooo sweet that I was buzzing on my way out. Thank heavens there was another person to eat it at the table.My husband ordered the special - steak sand with clam chowder. The waitress asked if he wanted fries or salad with it, he chose fries. Half way through the meal he realized that he didnt get his clam chowder. He asked for it. The waitress said he asked for fries so that was what he got. So why was the special advertised on their board as Steak Sand & Clam Chowder? It should have been advertised Steak Sand & choice of side. His steak was done right and he enjoyed it but wow! Super disappointment overall. Will probably be a while before we head back there again.Our lives are so busy that moments like these when we have time to go out together are so few and far between, it seems like such a waste of time and money to go out and be disappointed so many times during a single meal. We should have just stayed home and enjoyed each others company and made our own tasty lunch.
